When the Mother of Good Counsel Motherhouse was built in 1927, it included Good Counsel High School, an all-girl high school serving boarders as well as day students. In 1948, boarding ended, but the high school continued. By the early 1960's, having outgrown the convent, a high school was built on the campus.
