This wood-carved bust of Our Lady was part of the first main altar in the temporary chapel of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Orphanage in Cheektowaga, New York. The position of the bust was an integral part of the tabernacle. The altar on which it was placed was donated by the superior general, Mother Mary Magdalen Borowska.
